  1. Looking good. I can't wait to get mine in the mail.
Though I'm stlll wondering what the fate will be for the MG of the X Maoh (Build Fighters) and X Divider (Gundam X)...

  2. Just seem like a bigger version of the HGAW :S

    1. I'm a spoiled brat. Listen to me whine.

Seriously though, MGs didn't use to look this good. HGs didn't look nearly this good either.

It's amazing that we're even getting kits like these.

    2. Seriously though. What all these whining bitches don't understand is that each grade is actually used to engineer each other. So of course they're going to look similar. What did you expect? Any differences would otherwise give you a different mobile suit. So quit your bitching!

    3. Honest opinoin =/= whining. Learn the difference you illiterate fag.

    4. How ironic you had a typo in that last one

    5. It's not just a bigger HG although complexity wise it's not quite was difficult as usual MGs.

    6. Looks nothing like the HGAW. The HG was more anime accurate. Especially the head.

This (like most MGs) takes the design and gives it more sleek proportions and appearance.

And complexity wise, it is way better than the high grade. It has an inner frame. No competition.

  3. Actually surprised we're not getting a G-Falcon add on for this guy in MG... That would've been a cool release and then I would've gotten 2x of this MG...

    Hm...

But then again, Gundam X was not as popular.

    2. i don't think you should be surprised, the MG DX it's not even released yet, they're not going to announce the G-Falcon right now.
if bandai ever decides to release the G-Falcon will have nothing to do with the fact of Gundam X popularity but if the MG X and DX have good sales, they will probably release it.
to be honest i'm more interested in getting a X Divider than the G Falcon, actually i wished they released the Divider before the DX, but i'm not complaining.

    3. people are always complaining about something. both the HG and MG try to be as faithful as possible inside their own grade.
the HGAW DX is an amazing kit and if the MG look as good as that, plus with all the MG's usual improvements, it will be a great kit.
if they tried to do something far from the looks of the HG they would be going for a different representation of the DX, not the one we see on the anime.

    4. "But then again, Gundam X was not as popular."
First of all, Popularity =/= Quality
Second, it's a good thing that the X series, despite being not very popular, is now getting more kits.

      Delete
    5. Suiton, it's not about the popularity of the series but total demand of people who want the kit. So, if the X series was not that popular why did the double x emerge in its MG form?

BTW, have you watched the series itself to assume know if its popular or not?

      Delete
    6. Yes. I did watch all of Gundam X. I enjoyed it but I'm saying that in its original run in Japan it didn't have that good ratings and apparently the show was cut short sort of like how Gundam Age rushed towards its end and was cut a bit short.

      Delete
    7. Actually, X got low ratings due to having a wrong time slot (and later moved to another wrong timeslot, w/c made things worse) and the fans having the so-called Gundam fatigue. Story-wise, it is one of the better shows.

AGE, however, has many reasons why it got low ratings. Some didn't like the kiddy designs, overuse of Gundam cliches, the three generation story arcs, while an interesting idea, got botched, mistreatment of female characters, horrible pacing and the show jumping the shark starting with Kio arc. These are enough reasons of AGE's downfall.

    1. Maybe we'll still get them but they haven't been shown yet. Or maybe they'll be a P Bandai add on.

  5. i wish it had more surface details... like the seed MGs

    1. Like Seed MGs? Hm... But this is Gundam X...LOL
Speaking of which, why haven't we gotten any new/RM Ver.Seed and Destiny kits?

      Freedom RM -- Justice
      Infinite Justice RM -- Saviour
Strike Freedom RM -- Destiny RM (Wings of the Sky and Wings of Light being the P-Bandai add on effect parts)
Force Impulse RM -- Sword Impulse RM (Blast Impulse being the P-Bandai)

I think those sets of 4 MGs would be perfectly enough.

  6. Who wants to bet that there will be extra weapons for P-Bandai?

  7. I don't think most whiners just don't get as to why engineering a master grade quality Double X isn't the easiest thing in the world and why this a big thing

well for starters... if you had the 1/100 HG back from the 90's, you would understand the complexity of this kit due to the amount of gimmicks it had. GX had this really complicated satellite cannon gimmick, which the engineers redesigned again and again before it got to MG quality. They could have just based the entirety of the gimmick on the 90's model but that won't make any innovation now would it? Plus the overall quality would have dropped if ever. Now since they got that right, the next thing they managed to complete was setting the proportions.

Now lets go to DX. DX had a fairly simple gimmick for it's Satellite Cannon compared to the GX, but there was something that needs to be done to improve it and not simply mimic the 90's gimmick. The DX had a very flimsy satellite system and it was so simple that if they're going to MG-fy DX with that kind of gimmick, it would have made the DX a very expensive HG kit. Also there was the issue of the DX's proportions. The proportions for the DX in all model kits before the HGAW and 3D models that were used in game before GvGN+, had the DX with very small, less than impressive opened up satellite panels. You could make the panels larger so that when they opened up, they'd be as impressive as the Freedom's, but the problem was when you try to open it up, they'd hit the shoulder armor and that would prevent it from opening in the same way as with the anime.

Now the final issue with the DX is that if they're going to make a DX, they're going to have to make it compatible with the G-Falcon. Which needs to be compatible with the Leopard Destroy and Airmaster Burst. They had to create a standardized design to make use of that functionality all across 4 different models.

Now just why is this amazing?

Well aside from seeing one of the most awaited gundam in MG form with MG quality gimmicks, they also possibly opened the path for an MG Airmaster, Airmaster Burst, Leopard, Leopard Destroy, and G-Falcon.

    1. Nah, Airmaster and Leopard will go to RE100 instead

    2. No,just no. Side 1/100 Gundams don't need to look HG-2000's like on articulation. They have model Kits so it's a no-no-HELLNO for even thinking that they'll be HG/100 (ARTICULATION-WISE) and MG (design-wise). They can simply copypaste some Inner-Frame of X and new ones for shoulders and stuff like that. We're getting closer to AW's 20th Anniversary, they don't have excuses for not release at least a prototype of those guys either 2016 or 2017.

      Delete
    3. You have to remember that Gundam X wasn't as popular. I think we're lucky to even get X and Double X. The best (at least) we can hope for is a MG for X Divider and G-Falcon which I think would "complete" the Gundam X series of MGs.

Now in regards to "...copypaste some Inner-Frame of X...", I don't think that would work here. Design I think would be too different. If they're going to reuse the mold, we could get a MG release for GX-Bit and X Maoh...

So basically MGs for X Divider, GX-Bit, and X Maoh are the ones I think are most likely.

  8. I hope we get the X Divider and G Falcon as well. But I have a feeling that both of those will get a release in MG but as P Bandai.

    I'll still get it...

    3. Second this...But not the right topic. Watermarks on Poster Style Images for each BFT episode was pure BULLSHIT.

    4. Just ignore the guy that says this about the watermarks. I think this is the same guy that's been saying the exact same message for a long time. A spam bot I presume? I've actually talked to Gundam Guy about this but I guess he still hasn't looked into it or something considering whoever verifies each comment we "publish", seems to just okay all comments randomly?

Ignore this guy's comment and hopefully he'll (or it'll) stop eventually.

  11. Look more like RE100 grade more than MG

  12. Has there been any hints yet for a G-Falcon release or X Divider yet? Hopefully at least X Divider as well...and maybe also X Maoh.

  13. the DX in anime has a muscular form, and here is a much thinner build....feels like a variant model from seed series....

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You can't be surprised. The MG X also has that "thinner build" look. MGs base their designs off of the original artwork so it doesn't have to be a 1:1 representation in regards to details and design. Besides, the MGs lately are all about streamlined, clean cut, kind of a look & feel.

I think we should be happy we even got the MG Double X. All we need now is X Divider and G-Falcon to "complete" the Gundam X line of MGs.

  14. A shame that doesn't include everything that the HG 1/100 came with :(

    1. Don't go giving Bandai any ideas..LOL..Though a MG X Divider would be awesome alongside a MG GX-Bit. But I fear that both of those would be P-Bandai..

  17. I wonder how much standalone P-bandai reprint special marking G-falcon would be. Bet it would be over $40 with S+H when the old kit cost less than that.

    1. And we just need Samueldecals for, well, decals xD

  18. Man. This is just like the P-Bandai we got for the HG GN Arms Type E but done up in the "Real Type" colors for the RG Exia. I can't blame Bandai though. It's not something that was used much in the anime from what I recall. Now we just need a MG for X Divider and then Gundam X will be "complete" in my book.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Those FX-9900 GX-Bit on the boxart is looking pretty cool. Maybe a P-Bandai release? Also, has there been any word yet on a MG X Divider and MG X Maoh?

  20. Hells yeah, that box looks sweet as well.

  23. All looks good... but, please, don't tell us the behind double X panel are another sets of shining stickers XD

    ReplyDelete
  24. Now all we need are MGs for X Divider, G-Falcon, and X Maoh from the Gundam X series (and Build Fighters)...

    ReplyDelete
  25. I wonder if we're gonna get a P-Bandai MG 1/100 FX-9900 GX-Bit...? I mean it's similar enough to the GX-9900 Gundam X... Oh Bandai. I see what you're did there.

Yep. I'm pretty sure we're gonna get 3 P-Bandai releases...well maybe 4 depending on what they plan to do..

    FX-9900 GX-Bit
    GX-9999 Gundam X Maoh
    GX-9900-DV Gundam X Divider

and then the GS-9900 G-Falcon as a P-Bandai release of the old school 1/100 No Grade version with probably slight changes to the plastic parts and maybe some "exclusive" decals.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. A 1/144 GX-Bit would be better since it will be easy for Bandai to mass produce it and they will only create a smaller mold for the chest and head parts compared with the MG one.

      Delete
    2. Well regardless, if we get an HG or MG of the GX-Bit, Bandai would be reusing the HG/MG MG X Gundam...

      Delete
    3. Shut up suiton

  26. So is there any rumors or confirmations on:

    MG FX-9900 GX-Bit
    MG GX-9999 Gundam X Maoh
    MG GX-9900-DV Gundam X Divider
    MG GS-9900 G-Falcon

    ??

If they do a G-Falcon, then maybe we could get a color variation in the Rosa II colors?
I'm also surprised that we don't have MG releases of the X Gundam in Kai colors and the Rick Aller color.

    1. Pretty sure X Maoh is incoming this year. G Falcon will be P Bandai release. Praying for a Divider, myself.
